Born and raised in Hawaii, Dr. Sato is so happy to be practicing dermatology and caring for the community he grew up in. After receiving extensive training on the mainland, he is proud to incorporate his knowledge and cutting edge technology to give you the best care for your skin!
He graduated summa cum laude from Tufts University and returned home for his medical degree at the John A. Burns School of Medicine, University of Hawaiʻi, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He completed his internship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and his dermatology residency at SUNY Buffalo and Oregon Health & Science University.
Dr. Sato performs all laser and injectable procedures himself, and is an associate faculty member at the John A. Burns School of Medicine.

Brooke has practised dermatology for more than ten years and has treated patients on Oʻahu since 2014. She holds a Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Midwestern University and a Master of Science in Gerontology from the University of Utah.
She evaluates and treats medical skin conditions, prescribes medication and performs surgery, and also performs cosmetic procedures including laser treatments, Botox and filler injections. She speaks nationally and locally on dermatological disease and treatment.
Away from the clinic she's usually running or hiking with her two dogs.

Cosmetic services
Sato General & Cosmetic Dermatology specialises in science-based therapies and the highest-quality skin-care products to help create more youthful, healthier skin. Dr. Sato, a board-certified dermatologist, performs all laser and injectable procedures.
Sun spots, scars, pigment, fine lines, texture and pores, with minimal downtime. Fractionated laser treats microscopic columns of skin and leaves the surrounding tissue intact, so recovery is days rather than weeks. Works safely on all skin tones and can be used on almost any part of the body.
A topical numbing medicine is applied before treatment; patients rate discomfort around 2–3 out of 10. Immediately afterwards the skin is red, fading over a few days and near baseline by day five. All post-treatment topicals are supplied at no charge.
Treatments are spaced a minimum of one month apart.

Topical numbing precedes injection and the fillers themselves contain anaesthetic; patients typically rate discomfort 2 out of 10. Some swelling or bruising may appear within a week; a complimentary topical is provided for bruising.

Medical insurance plans can be complex — please call the office to verify your coverage. QUEST and Medicaid are not accepted at this time. A discount is offered to self-paying patients.

If you're not using the web portal, please print, complete and bring all three forms with you on your first visit.
Teledermatology
Video visits through Spruce, a HIPAA-compliant app, from a web camera, iPhone or iPad. Minor procedures can't be done remotely, but an in-office procedure day can be scheduled when needed.
Have your insurance card ready so the office can confirm your plan is accepted and that it covers telehealth.
New patients fill out the patient forms and send a copy of their insurance card and ID. Established patients only need to consent to communicating online.
Before your appointment, the office contacts you to explain the steps and help you get set up.
Right before your scheduled time, the office calls you. Find a quiet place with good lighting and a reliable connection, and prepare as you would for an in-person visit.
